Still life penny6/5/2023 Now even though many people refer to this as a cozy mystery, I’m not entirely sure that I agree. And everyone has layers upon layers of secrets. By the end of the book, we’ve pretty much gotten to know everyone, along with their faults and their foibles, in the small town of Three Pines - including the murderer. There were numerous red herrings peppered throughout the story, and as Gamache deepens his investigation, possible suspects began to emerge. This book has a fantastic cast of eccentric, complex and likable characters, each with more than their share of faults. The locals are positive it’s a tragic hunting accident and nothing more, but Gamache doesn’t necessarily agree and is soon convinced that Jane Neal death was not an accident. Jane Neal, an elderly woman and beloved longtime resident of Three Pines has been found dead in the woods. The lean startup book buy6/5/2023 The MVP notion and pivot are maybe ok to validate a concept but not something to scale a business. Lean Startup by Eric Ries I loved the first time I read it and have read it a few times although it’s not complete. A coffee table book, I like the concept but far far far better to get Lean Analytics by Alistar Croll and Running Lean by Ash Maurya they are both are way way better and more practical. I read Business Model Generation in an afternoon and sold it the next day. Business Model Generation by Alexander Osterwalder and Lean Startup by Eric Ries are a complete waste of money.
